ABOUT SHUMARLAN NAIDOO (CEO)
Little did Shumarlan know at just seven years of age that a machine would set the course for the rest of his life. It was a Heidelberg one-colour printing machine at his father’s printing company. Later, his first love would be replaced by a five-colour; then a ten-colour printer.
For thirty years, Shumarlan, founder and chief executive officer of Apple Group, has continued his family’s tradition of providing a full-service printing business grounded in personalised quality service to clients; mutual respect and loyalty between him and his staff; and giving back to the community.
Years of hands-on experience coupled with studies in business management and marketing, graphic design, print and technology, human relations, and finance has positioned Shumarlan as a tour de force in the printing and related industries. Shumarlan’s ability to identify each client’s unique needs, and the Apple Group team’s 100% commitment to producing work of the highest standards, has forged relationships that are as old as the company itself. In other instances, relations older than ‘Shums’ (the name he is affectionately known as by those close to him) prevail due to the ongoing contribution of his father, mentor and printing pundit, Sammy Naidoo, in Apple Group
